Hot air Balloon!
Woke up early and I’m taking off to Arches before the crowds hit.
Off I head south to the desert, I’m going to disperse camp north of Moab and stop at the Green River on the way. Happy 4th of July! I’m getting my independence on the road!
Made it to Salt Lake, going to head south tomorrow to Moab and see Arches National Park.
Stopping off in Nevada City on my way East! Spent time in the Yuba river and checking out down town!
Its been cool chilling in the San Francisco Bay area but I need to make a run to Arkansas. In preparation for my trip my two Renogy Lifepo4 100ah batteries have arrived! I’m installing those and the Smart Monitor which networks them together and gives me realtime info about Voltage, Amperage and SOC (State of charge) of the bank. This coupled with my Victron smart solar MPPT charge controller gives me alot of stats about my solar rig in the Ambo. In addition to the Solar rig, I’ve also installed a Lagun rotating table and I built a custom little shoe rack which I later attached to a rotating mount so it swings out and I can still access one of my storage compartments. Stay tuned for more and better photos!
Some drone shots from the road!
We are on the road heading west, I’m going to keep updating this with pics as we go. Heres a shot from June Lake.
I’m on the road, new improvements have been made and the adventure is on.
Winter is thawing and it was time to get some projects done on the Ambo. Up first is a proper swinging table, and getting the solar put in. I went with a victron mppt charge controller so I can get stats over bluetooth and a Canadian solar CS6P-250PX-ZEP 250watt panel to start. Future improvements will likely be more 100w renogy panels on a separate controller so I can utilize external panels when boondocking for a power boost. My first battery is a crappy deep cycle lead acid but I plan to upgrade to 100 ah lifepo4 lithium down the road. At this point I just need to get the rig up so I can hit the road.
Built on a 2012 chevy e3500 chasis with a duramax 6.6l diesel holy grail of a power plant, this is the next evolution in the vaxrv vanlife. Customizations to come! The only ambo I got with crypto is a dambo!
